The ancient art of belede, belly dance, arises as we listen
inside to our inner music, the Soul music. Each of us carries
the Grandmother's secrets. Moving intuitively with the elements,
Earth, Water, Fire Air and Ether, our movements become alchemy.
The hip circles, shimmies, Sufi whirling, the undulations
of our fluid spines awaken our soul forces to our connections
to heaven, earth and each other.
Our bodies are the vessels, our bellies the drum, our feet
beat out the sacred rhythms of the past and our deep hearts
breath the future. The life force emerges as an expression
of the Sacred feminine.
