Leadership Coaching

“Organizations succeed when effective leadership is in place and effective leadership is seldom innate, it requires focus and intention.”  - Blair Kennard

Leadership Coaching

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader. - John Quincy Adams

I offer Leadership Coaching and Consulting services to assist individuals in developing skills and competencies to enable both the individual and the organization to reach the highest level of excellence. As a leader in the corporate world, again and again, I found that the degree of success in projects was driven largely by the quality of leadership. Organizations succeed when effective leadership is in place and effective leadership is seldom innate, it requires focus and intention.

For new and established leaders alike, a coach is a critical partner. A coach offers an independent and objective view of a leader's strengths, weaknesses and identifies opportunities for the client to excel and for the organization to benefit. A coach is like a lens through which the client will begin to more clearly see how his or her actions and thoughts may be limiting; and more importantly, the client will focus on what change is critical to reach the next level of excellence. Together with a coach, the client will develop new behaviors and actions to achieve meaningful and long lasting results.

Leadership Coaching is appropriate for:

  • Executives and senior managers
  • Managers transitioning to leadership roles
  • Emerging managers
  • Individual contributors

Leadership Coaching is aimed to maximize professional potential for an individual or organization. According to Sherpa Coaching's 2008 Executive Coaching Survey, "There is now meaningful movement toward providing executive coaching as a pro-active move." Some common areas of focus for clients include:

  • Transition to a new role such as to a manager or to a leadership position with increased scope
  • Promotion to the next level
  • Improved interpersonal effectiveness and enhanced relationships
  • Organizational awareness
  • Negotiation skills
  • Visioning and strategic planning
  • Delegation and empowerment
  • Focus, organization and planning
  • Self confidence
  • Public speaking and communication
