There are times in life when we are faced with difficulty or change. Often these periods mark significant transitions in life. As a trained professional coach I work with individuals outside the workplace to navigate through a transition that will then result in meeting a goal and to achieve personal fulfillment. Often we get stuck because we have a way of being which is deeply rooted. Despite our best efforts we keep approaching challenges the same way; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Working with a coach will help you to clearly understand what your goals are, what outcomes you desire, and will create a roadmap to get there. Most importantly, a coach offers support unlike the support you may receive from friends and family. A coach is objective, is trained to guide you, and has the role of holding you accountable for the results you want.

The general approach for Personal Life Coaching and Leadership Coaching are the same. The difference is that Personal Life Coaching occurs outside the workplace and generally addresses topics that are more personal in nature. Coaching is different than therapy. Therapy generally starts in the past and explores why you are where you are and the root cause of a problem. Coaching starts in the present and determines how to increase personal effectiveness and satisfaction going forward.

The topics for Personal Life Coaching vary widely and may include some of the following:

  • Reducing stress
  • Determining what is missing and what is next in life
  • Transitioning to a career that reflects who you really are
  • Moving into or out of a relationship
  • Enhanced interpersonal effectiveness
  • More rapid achievement of goals
  • Increased confidence, less fear
  • Improved decision making

  • Dealing with loss or grief
  • Improved physical and emotional well-being
  • More personal satisfaction.
